Morning Prayer: "I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds. I will be glad and exult in you; I will sing praise to your name, O most high" (Ps 9:1-2) O God, maker of all things, we acknowledge your supremacy in our lives. You gave us life, in your eternal wisdom you gave us free will. Help us exercise that "free will" so that our decisions are seen as adding glory to you. We give you thanks and praise for your Son Jesus, the man from Nazareth, who became the Messiah. Grant us your peace. Amen!
Morning Prayer: "Praise the Lord! Praise God in God's sanctuary, praise God in God's mighty firmament! (Ps. 150)" Dear God, we praise you because you are our God. You love us beyond measure. You protect us from harm. It is you O God that makes the sun rise and the moon shine. It is you, O God, that makes the birds sing and the frogs croak. You, O God, have your hands in our whole life. Grant us your grace and your peace. "Let everything that breathes praise the Lord! Praise the Lord! (Ps. 150)"
Morning Prayer: Gracious and forgiving God, draw close to hear our prayer. You are my God. I pray today for the peace of Christ in this world. In Sri Lanka this morning, Easter Morning, there have been explosions that damaged Christian Churches where people were worshiping. Many are dead and more are badly injured. We ask that you intervene and help those hurt and stand with the families of those who have died. Help them grieve. We give you thanks for the resurrection of your Son, Jesus. He has reconciled all of us to himself. In just a few minutes I will leave for Fort Branch to worship with the faith community there. Please ride with me and protect me as we travel. Amen!

Daily Prayer: There is so much going on in the world today, that I don't know where to begin. Dear God, we ask you to care for and walk with the citizens of Paris and France as they begin the process of grieving for the lost treasure of Notre Dame. I am certain that other countries have mourners for this tragic event. Because I am one. Help me fight this cold. I want and need to be in top form for Maundy Thursday and Easter Sunday. Please O God give me a good strong dose of your grace. Amen!
Morning Prayer: Good morning God. This cold is knocking me for a loop, but you know that. Please help me recover full health by Thursday evening. No matter what, this is a day that you have made; I shall rejoice and be glad in it. Father, God, maker of us all, we give you thanks for protecting us through the night and waking us in the morning. We have decisions to make and need your help in discerning the path to take. We can't figure this out without your help. Please give us your peace and patience. Amen!

VESPER PRAYER: Gracious God, maker of us all, we give you thanks for caring for us during this day. We give you praise and ask that you care for us tomorrow. Make haste to hear my prayer, O God. Heavenly Father, you know every decision I need to make and every challenge I face. Please forgive me for trying to figure out this life on my own. I need you, I need the Holy Spirit to give me strength, wisdom, and direction. Guard me through the night when I am most vulnerable. Amen!
After meeting with our search committee and trying to wonder where we can fit in in today's church world. I read this article and thought I should share. https://danreiland.com/great-value-churches-100/

Daily Prayer: Gracious and loving God, we come before you on bended knees. We ask your forgiveness for the way that your Son was treated so many years ago. Today when we think of him "walking that lonely valley," we reach out to Jesus and give Him a shoulder to lean on. We would be more like Jesus. We ask that you show us how to emulate Jesus' actions and words. Show us how to be empathetic to all we meet and to show the face of Christ in all that we do. Grant to all of us your grace and your mercy. We give you thanks for all our many blessings. Amen!
Happy 50th anniversary to Rocky and Nancy Edwards! What am accomplishment for these 2 very special people!
Morning Prayer: Gracious God, travel with all of us today and always. Just as Mary, sister of Martha used very expensive oil to prepare Jesus for his crucifixion, displaying her love for Him. Teach us to love Jesus and one another as Mary has loved him. In a few minutes, I will leave for Fort Branch to worship with the faith community there. Please ride with me and protect me. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
Morning Prayer: Most gracious and forgiving God, maker of all of us; each and every one of us. You have made us in your image. Because you have made us in your image, you have instilled in all of us the ability to be empathetic, kind, giving and forgiving. We give you thanks for all of the many blessings we have received from you. We give you thanks that there is food on our table, that there is good clean water to drink, and clean air to breathe. You love us, and we love you. We give you thanks for your Son, Jesus of Nazareth, who taught us how to love and treat others. We give you thanks for coming to earth in human form to model for us how to live a godly life. Help us remember these lessons. Amen!
Morning Prayer; In Ephesians 2:13, The Apostle Paul has written, "But now in Christ Jesus, you who were once far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ." What is St. Paul telling us? Though written to the Ephesians, this applies to us also. Those of us who were lost have been found in Jesus Christ. Let us rejoice in the knowledge that we are saved by faith in Christ. Let us rejoice that Christ lives for us. Amen!
Morning Prayer: The Psalmist has written; "Let your steadfast love come to me, O Lord, your salvation according to your promise" (Ps. 119:41). Please, O Lord, grant to us your salvation as you promised. We know that you love us and want us to be in communion with you, but sometimes we fall short of your wishes and hopes for us. Help us stay on the path to you and forgive our shortcomings. Amen!
Morning Prayer: The Apostle Paul wrote to the Ephesians the following: "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God--not the result of works, so that no one may boast." (NRSV, 2:8-9). We are children of God, made in his image. God loves us and wants to be in communion with us always. God forgives us and reconciles us to Him without a petition or works. Rest easy, you are saved. Amen!
Morning Prayer: God, please take care of us today. Grant to us a major dose of your grace and your peace so that we have enough to share with others. Help us to live as Jesus taught us. Help us love kindness, to do justice and to walk humbly with you. Recognizing that when we walk with you we may go places we don't want to go, help us do that anyway. I will leave in just a few minutes to travel to Fort Branch in order to worship with the faith community there Please ride with me. Amen!
